This program was developed by ACI and is limited to only 6 participants per class, ensuring an individualized and effective learning experience.

LMBL aims to empower adults with disabilities to gain the necessary skills and resources to live their best lives and achieve their goals, ultimately leading to a more independent and fulfilling future!

Fun group and individual activities aid in the hands-on learning experiences. This series may also include guest presenters and trips in the community. Participants will use limited reading and writing skills with their daily planners and will practice social skills during lunchtimes. This series will culminate in a special presentation and celebratory dinner event planned, prepared, and enjoyed by the participants and their special guests on the final day. Mentoring opportunities, in future LMBL classes, may be available for graduates.

Graduates will attend monthly meetings. This monthly gathering helps them continue to grow the friendships made during their time in LMBL. They discuss the goals they have been working towards, as well as goals they have achieved. They eat a light meal together then participate in a fun social activity. Many of the LMBL alumni make plans and participate in social activities offsite at local diners, movie theaters and malls.

This program is for adults with disabilities ages 21 through 35. Attendees will need to commit to attend and actively participate in every 4-hour session, once or twice a week as per the schedule over a 9-week period.

Please bring a boxed lunch to every session.

Participants are responsible for their own transportation.

In case of inclement weather, you will be notified via text no later than 9 PM the evening prior to a scheduled training.
