Over the past few years, ACI has been working with the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers University to train first year medical students on disability awareness and sensitivity. Part of this training involves providing first-hand accounts of individuals seeking medical services.
We are looking for 15 volunteers with disabilities
who are willing to share their experiences (both good and bad) with health care providers,
including, doctors, clinics and hospitals, and rehab facilities. Were you treated with respect and dignity? Was your
doctor’s office accessible? Your participation will help shape future doctors on how to serve people with disabilities.
For more details or to RSVP, please contact Luke Koppisch at 732-738-4388 ext. 110 or lkoppisch@adacil.org. Please RSVP by October 25th. Space is limited.
Can’t make it on the 30th and would like to contribute? Send your story via email to lkoppisch@adacil.org.
