Medicare Open Enrollment runs from October 15th to December 7th. This is the time for you to review your Medicare drug plan or consider Medicare Advantage Health Plans. Plans and benefits will have significant changes in 2025.

ACI has partnered with the Middlesex County Health Department to provide FREE flu vaccines.

The CDC recommends a yearly flu vaccine as the first and most important action in reducing your risk of flu and its potentially serious outcomes.

All participants who fill out a survey get a "Relax, Get Vaxxed" t-shirt and a $10 Dollar Tree gift card! (supplies limited)

Presented by the Rutgers Center for Disability Sports & Wellness Department of Kinesiology and Health and the Alliance Center for Independence

Join us for fishing, fun, food, and sun!

Participants will register at the Beach Haven Marlin and Tuna Club which is fully accessible and then head to the fishing pier two blocks away. We will have assistance with roadway traffic allowing participants to transport to each location without hazard of vehicles. Following fishing, participants are invited back to the club for an award ceremony and banquet dinner. This event is open to any level fisherperson, beginners and experts alike. We anticipate some gear to be available, however, if you have a fishing pole and gear, please bring it with you. Unfortunately, transportation will not be provided.

Registration Fee is $10 per fisher. Registration begins at noon at the BHMTC. Parking for adaptive participants will be available. While we anticipate volunteer assistance, we ask participants be accompanied with someone who can assist you during the event.

There is a lot at stake in this historical election year! Show the candidates the power of the disabled vote!

Join REV UP New Jersey and the Alliance Center for Independence (ACI) for Make the Disability Vote Count!

The event will feature voter registration and information, speeches by disability voting rights activists, live music, free merch, and food trucks! Learn about policies and issues that affect the disabled community. Representatives from the candidates’ campaigns have been invited!

We are also excited to have the Caravan for Disability Justice and Freedom on display. The Caravan has been making stops throughout the country to spread the word about the power of the disability vote and to connect with local activists and reinforce our commitment to securing freedom and independence. While celebrating local disability rights movements, part of the Disability Caravan’s ultimate goal at each stop along the way will be to educate our peers on our history, and encourage them to be a part of their future by way of emphasizing voters’ registration for all.
