Focus Group: Food Deserts & People with Disabilities

  • ACI 629 Amboy Ave Edison, NJ, 08837 United States (map)
Empty shopping cart on a desert road

Do you live in a food desert? Are you a person with a disability? Join the discussion!

In a partnership with Montclair State University, ACI is putting together a focus group to address the issue of access to food and food security for people with disabilities.

The focus group will examine these questions:

  • Do you have problems obtaining food that you prefer to eat?
  • What are your experiences of purchasing food or going out to eat?
  • How important is access to food and food security to you?

This is your opportunity to share your concerns and experiences! Your input will help devise solutions that create greater access to healthy, affordable, nutritious, and culturally appropriate food for all people, including people with disabilities.

The focus group will be facilitated by Elaine Gerber, PhD., Associate Professor of Anthropology at Montclair State University.

Refreshments will be provided.

If you would like to participant, please RSVP to Luke Koppisch at 732-738-4388 ext. 110 or fill out the form below.
